According to The Trevor Project, one out of every six high school students nationwide have seriously considered suicide in the last twelve months. In fact, suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24.
Taking those stats up just a notch, LGBT youth are three times as likely to commit suicide compared to straight youth. That’s three out of six. That’s 50%!
How about LGBT youth who come from families not approving or accepting of their lifestyle? 8.4 times more likely to attempt suicide.
That’s a statistic that is difficult to live with. If you agree, we need your help.
The producers and writers of this film are attempting to raise $75,000 to cover production and location costs.
In fact, they’re even donating their own time and talent free of charge because this is such an important subject matter.
Production of the film will hopefully start in the Summer of 2020, but they need your help to make it happen. Just think about this for a second — statistically, this country will have lost over 2,000 teenagers to suicide by the time filming even begins. Time is running out, and this is where you come in.
We’re asking you to give what you can to make this film a reality. To make a donation, please click on the “Donate Now” button above. Who knows? It may even help save the life of someone you love. Thank you.
